Studying at Rhode Island School of Design was an amazing experience. Having access to amazing teachers, kilns, materials and the time to create work from 2000-2004 helped me explore shapes, sizes and surface design in new and creative ways.
I spent the four years of college primarily exploring functional handcrafted pottery. When I entered school, I thought I was only interested in throwing pottery on the potters wheel. While enrolled I was able to explore, hand building, slip casting, wheel work and a fusion of all the styles. I also benefited from an opportunity to explore low to high fire surface design and everything in between. Below you will find highlights from my RISD Alumni portfolio. I hope you enjoy.
